Choosing the Right Flooring for Lahore's Climate
Flooring is the surface you touch every day and the decision you live with for a decade. Lahore's heat, dust, and monsoon humidity punish the wrong choice and reward the right one. This guide matches flooring material to room, budget, and climate.
Porcelain tile: the climate champion
Porcelain tile is cool underfoot, waterproof, and nearly indestructible. Large-format rectified tile (600x1200 mm or larger) minimises grout lines and looks premium at mid-range pricing. It is our default recommendation for living areas in Lahore.
Marble, granite, and natural stone
Marble is beautiful but high-maintenance — it etches, stains, and requires annual polishing. Granite is harder and better suited to high-traffic areas. Both stay cool in summer, which is their biggest advantage.
Wood, laminate, and vinyl
Solid wood warps in Lahore's humidity unless climate-controlled. High-quality laminate and luxury vinyl plank (LVP) are better choices for bedrooms — warmer underfoot, easier to install, and far more forgiving of moisture.
